I have looked at the Nature Photographers Network (NPN) site before, but hadn't looked at the NPN membership info. I really like that one of their principles is "the use of nature photography as a means for generating interest in habitat conservation."

I actually wanted to leave a comment on the snags post but was having trouble giving a comment box to show up. Technical issues asides, here's the comment:
I'm glad you brought the issue of leaving snags up. They serve their purpose, just like some weeds. Clovers fix nitrogen in the lawn, so why do we dig them up?
Snags are important wildlife habitat, so why do we chop them down?
