Robins? Where are they nesting?

I'm still photographing the birds in my backyard. Sort of a prolonged bioblitz, without the blitz. I've yet to see a nest anywhere, but we're blessed with many different trees in the neighborhood. I presume that's where most of the nests are.

I've thought of putting up some nesting boxes. We also get a lot of stray cats, thought, so safety of the nest is a concern.

Hey, Xris -- the robins nest on a support beam under our deck. I took these photos from inside the house, through a window, so as not to spook them.

I've seen a couple of other nests in the yard, but this is the first one that's been in a spot where I could see the occupants.

How neat to see baby robins. We never see that down here, just adults during the winter.

That makes sense, but I never thought of it until you mentioned it. This is the first time I've had a nest where they are easy to see, so I'm enjoying them a lot.
